I like this player's features but I'm having a bit of disagreement with the UI and wondering how much of it is by design.
Firstly when I open the Equalizer and Options the top Monkey icon which usually goes back to the previous menu doesn't, and the menu also can't be swiped out of which leaves me using the android back button to get out of the menu. It's not a major deal, just sticks out as a bit odd?
Secondly getting to the currently playing menu in order to sort, add to playlist, find album art etc seems a bit.. long. Home screen > Album & Artists > Menu in to Album or Track > Press song which brings up the player (also at this point pressing back doesn't bring you to the previous menu, but to the home screen) > Press the playlist icon on the controls bar (again pressing back takes you to home)
Lastly I don't see 1. A way to get to the album from a track and 2. A way to mass update album arts, or to update them at all without going all the way through the above chore (is this effectively only meant to be done only through syncing?)
I'd appreciate any feedback or tips about using this player because currently I'm sad to say I'm not finding it very user friendly even though it seems like a really nice player.
Thanks!

You can add Now Playing to the Homescreen.

Re. the 'back' button: it's designed to change back to the previous context. I wasn't able to replicate the problem you described in which pressing 'back' brings you back to the home screen (skipping intermediate screens), but I'm testing with 1.3.0.677 (beta).
Re. Now Playing: as Martin explained, you can get there just by clicking the Album Art/Playlist icon in the mini player at the bottom of the screen.
To jump to an album from a track: press and hold the track to get the context menu to appear, then click the 'magnifying glass' (=Find more from same).
Update of album art: not supported at this time--accomplished via sync (but planned for the future).
