Features with Cloud-services

Post by AdamLi »

Hi. I'm searching for a new and hopefully a better Media Center. I have looked at several applications but none of them suits my needs. I've been told that the upcoming verison of MM will get Cloud service (OneDrive). therefore i wonder how this feature will behave. Hopefully for portable devices? Will it be like Spotify etc. where you can choose which tracks to be stored offline? Because my flash memory cant store my entire collection. And I like Playlists to be synced cross devices. For now I'm using CloudPlater by DoubleTwist but the Mobile-app only does one way sync.

Hi,
yes, in MediaMonkey 5 (be sure you are testing the latest build 2089: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... 34#p442834 )
you can scan tracks from OneDrive into library and select which of them you want to download locally (via right-click > Download) or you can just stream the songs.

You can do this via menu File... > Add/Rescan files > Add Location... > Cloud Storage > One Drive
You can also sync the files to the location like to a portable device (e.g. via right-click > Send to... > OneDrive) or by configuring auto-sync list on the OneDrive profile (in the Devices & Services) node.

Hope that helps and thanks for a feedback!
