Rules

Project Starters

1.Make part of the skin set if you want to make One player thats fine.
2.Finish that Part of the skin complete with ini files if they are needed.
3.Make a screen shot of that player or theme. Post the screen shot and make a project summary below.
4.Make a post in the skinning forum titled with your skin project's name With a link to the screen shot here at the wiki site.

Project Completer's

1.Make The Player Skin you want to make and post a message reply, in the skinning forum's post for the Skin Project you are working with.
2.To let the others know what you are doing, So there is no cross up and have two skinners doing the same thing for the same skinning project.
3.When finished with your part of the skin let the project starter know, so they can give you their email address to have you send your zipped player files to them.
4.The starter of the project will compile the skin when all parts are received.
5.Then the starter will post its mmip file on the skin hosting site, With proper Credit given for the skin's parts to their creator.

Naming of the skin

The submitting skinners should also submit a few names for the skin.
Upon all the projects skin parts being finished and received there should be a poll
posted in the skinning forum with each of the suggested names to be picked in the poll.
So in effect giving the naming of the skin to all who vote in the poll.

Non Skinner User Contributing Rules

If you don't know how to make a skin at all and want to contribute to the users skin project below is needed to be fulfilled by you.

1. send the image you want to use for the background of the player either the main player or the float player, or the micro player, or the theme and it's needed images. to any one of the active skinners who you can see making skins on the mediamonkey wiki's skins pages, except the project starter don't send them the images, because the starter has already did their contributing by starting the project. inform them what it is for, if you want to send images for player buttons along also do that, otherwise the skinner can pick his idea for the buttons.

2. the skin will need a name also, so send that along with the images to the skinner you are asking to complete the player or theme for you, they will send it along to the project starter when they finish the player skin for you. then the names will be put in to a poll so members can pick the best name for the skin.

3. check the lesson out for fast newbies skinning walk through, to find the image in the lesson that shows you what the theme will need for images., besides those found in that image, the list views backgrounds will be needed, there are 3 of those. remember that they skinner might have to make them very pastel to see the fonts over them.

Proxy Skinner

make the requested skin, add the non skinners name to the proper ini file in an rem'ed text line for the skin item they wanted done. to give them credit in what they did for creating the skin. send their idea for the skins name along with yours when you follow the Project Completer's rules above.
