MediaMonkey le permite convertir pistas en su Catálogo de un formato de compresión a otro durante la transferencia de propiedades de las pistas a su destino en los formatos de etiquetas. Esto es utilizado si tiene un dispositivo que solamente soporta un formato (por ejemplo si cuenta con un reproductor portátil de MP3 deberá convertir archivos OGG a MP3). Note que cuando convierte de un formato de compresión con pérdida a otro, siempre hay algo de pérdida en la fidelidad. Para mantener la calidad de su colección lo más alta posible no reemplace el archivo original.
Para convertir, seleccione la(s) pista(s) que quiera convertir y de clic en Herramientas > Convertir Formato . El cuadro de diálogo de Convertir Archivos aparecerá y ahí podrá configurar lo siguiente:
- Ya sea para reemplazar los archivos originales o convertirlos a una nueva ubicación.
- El formato de compresión se usará para ripear las Pistas. Vea Ripeo Digital y Formatos Digitales de Archivo y Ajustes del codificador MP3.
