MediaMonkey le permite compartir el contenido de su catálogo a otros dispositivos UPnP / DLNA como Pantallas, XBOX 360, PlayStation 3 y varios reproductores Blu-Ray.

Streaming over UPnP / DLNA

1. Vaya a Herramientas > Opciones > Catálogo > Compartir Multimedia (o de clic con el botón derecho sobre Servidores de Multimedia y de clic en Compartir Multimedia...) y seleccione 'Compartir multimedia (UPnP/DLNA)'.
2. 'Agregue' un comentario compartido y escoja qué contenido desea habilitar para otros dispositivos UPnP / DLNA.
3. Configurar Auto-Conversión para formatos de contenido que no sean compatibles con dispositivos UPnP / DLNA.  Tenga en cuenta que para video solamente la conversión WMV es compatible en tiempo real.
   
4. Si planea crear más de un servidor (por ejemplo si desea compartir Música con todos los dispositivos DLNA, pero Películas solamente con una sublista de dispositivos) escoja un Nombre de Servidor y un Puerto IP.
   
5. Defina sus ajustes de seguridad.  De forma predeterminada, los servidores son compartidos con cualquier dispositivo DLNA en su red local.  Usted puede:
   • Permitir dispositivos externos que se conecten a la red (a través de la pestaña Servidor)
     
   • Solicitar que cualquier dispositivo nuevo que intente conectarse se le brinden permisos explícitos para accesar al servidor (a través de la pestaña de Control de Acceso)
     

1. Go to Tools > Options > Library > Media Sharing (or right-click on Media Servers and click Share Media...) and check off 'Enable media sharing (UPnP/DLNA)'
2. 'Add' a Share, and then choose which content you wish to make available to other UPnP / DLNA devices
3. Configure Auto-conversion for content formats that aren't supported by the UPnP / DLNA devices.  Note that for video, only conversion to WMV is presently supported in real-time.
   
4. If you plan on creating more than one server (for instance if you wish to share Music with all DLNA devices, but Movies only with a subset of devices), choose a Server Name and IP Port.
   
5. Define your security settings.  By default, servers are shared with any DLNA device on your local network.  You can:
   • Allow devices external to the network to connect (via the Server tab)
     
   • Require that any new device that attempts to connect be explicitly given permission to access the server (via the Access Control tab)
     

Be aware of the following issues when enabling external access: Security options are fairly limited.  MediaMonkey can only restrict access by IP address, although you can further restrict access using your router. You'll need to enable Port Forwarding on your router to forward the Port# displayed on the UPnP/DLNA Server tab to the machine running MediaMonkey. You'll need to configure the DLNA client to connect to http://<Network IP address>:<Port#>/DeviceDescription.xml

Once you're done, Click 'OK' in the Media Sharing dialog, and then 'OK' in the 'Options' dialog to accept the changes. You should be able to browse the shared content from your MediaMonkey library from other DLNA devices.

If you're having problems sharing your library, try setting the 'IP Port:' on the 'UPnP/DLNA Server' tab to '4000'. That will cause the server to be browsable directly from within MediaMonkey to help you debug any problems.

Controlling MediaMonkey Remotely

DLNA also allows for MediaMonkey to be remotely controlled via a 'DLNA Control Point' (e.g. a DLNA control point running on an iPhone to control MediaMonkey remotely). To enable this functionality, enable 'Allow control of MediaMonkey player via UPnP/DLNA.
