Stupid splash screen....

Why in GOD's name there has to be a splash screen that has no way of removing when MM opens is a mystery only the programmers of MM can answer!!!!!!!!!!

That said I followed the directions for removing the damn annoyance but got a dialog box saying the path was incorrect... Why can't you just add an X in the upper right hand corner to remove the screen... Ohhhh I get it that's too easy... right?

Anyway how do I get rid of the damn thing... I've already spent too much of my limited time in this life trying to get rid of someone's idea of a good thing

PLEASE help, with a solution that really works.
