I am using Vista Ultimate 64 bit and have this exact same problem. using MM Gold 3.0.4 and I even tried to regsvr32 the DeskPlayer.dll but still not MicroPlayer.

regsvr32 says "successfully registered" but still no microplayer :(

you can try to run this manually :
regsvr32 <path to MM>\DeskPlayer.dll

Oh, the deskplayer.dll is there. Tried deleting it before re-install. Still didn't help.
And I'm running XP with SP3 (SP2 had the same problem).

Can't get microplayer to appear in taskbar. Tried everything, even re-installing. Have had this problem for many months. Anyone have any ideas?

Try downloading this file: [removed]

then move it to the C:\Program Files\Mediamonkey\ folder. Let me know if you have problems downloading the file, if you're using internet explorer it might be blocked.

Check your \Program Files\Mediamonkey\ folder for a file called " DeskPlayer.dll ". Do you have this file?
