I am using Vista Ultimate 64 bit and have this exact same problem. using MM Gold 3.0.4 and I even tried to regsvr32 the DeskPlayer.dll but still not MicroPlayer.

Did you enable it in in the taskbar? Right click -> Toolbars -> MediaMonkey player
