Does it show all info correct in some other player?
If it does please create one small file ~1Mb or less and send to MM Support.
So I can see what the problem is and if there is some I can correct it before 2.4 Final.
Here are some additional details:
The files were ripped using CDEX 1.51 and the latest FLAC 1.1.2 encoder downloaded earlier this week from the soundforge FLAC home page.
All tag info is read correctly in the three other applications I currently use, which are Foobar2000 0.8.3, SlimServer 6.0.3, and AudioShell 1.0. I'm running everything on a pretty beefy WinXP Pro SP2 system.
MM Gold (2.3.1.845 and 2.4 b1) are the only apps I've tried so far that cannot read the tags in these files. Both versions of MM display all tag fields as null, except for the title, and incorrectly thinking the Artist is the album track number.
The problem is on 100% of the ripped FLAC files, which is about 160 files (I didn't notice the problem right away during a marathon ripping session).
I also flushed and rebuilt the database from scratch twice, once in MM 2.3, and once more after installing MM 2.4 b1.
When I get home, later tonight, I will try to create and upload a small FLAC file which demonstrates the problem (that should be difficult).
Hopefully it can help you track this down. Let me know if there is anything else I can do to help. Or if you think it's me, and I'm simply doing something wrong that could easily be corrected to solve the problem.
Thanks,
PRGeno
