Hi,
I am in the same situation, with MM not ripping audio cds correctly. After doing some researches, I found a workaround : on the cd/dvd device window, I had to uncheck "on the fly encoding", et voila.
I rip my audio cds in mp3 (320kbs, stereo) with the lame_enc.dll bundled with mm.
My configuration : windows 7 64 bits, 4gigs of ram, quad core, HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-H44N ATA Device, MM 3.1.2.1277
I did tests with the same hardware configuration and the same version of mm BUT with windows Vista 32 bits, and I had no problems ripping audio cds with the "on the fly encoding" option enabled.
Maybe it has something to do with windows 7 or the 64 bits thing ?
