okay as the title says this is trying to help people move monkey's child windows around.
this is not mine only to write up but I'm leaving it for others to also add tips.
1. right click on the child window. oh child windows are the items like the directory tree and the album art window, and the now playing list are. but right click on them to get the option to show or not show the window's title bar. in order to move the window you need to have the title bar showing. the title bar is that strip that says the name for that window.
2. now left click on that title bar and drag that window to where ever you want it on the screen. i suggest being really careful when going to the right dock area. if you make that too wide it might over lap the other dock areas and confuse the daylights out of you. there are ways to fix that and people here know them so your not lost if you have that happen.
3. the player also can be moved. you need to left click the player skin in a location of the skin that is unused by any feature of the player. this would be better to find the location for clicking the player in it's upper left corner under the directory tree.
4. now all the tips can be said. mine is just make sure you realize moving the items to different docks takes a steady hand and can have the docks flash or flicker several times when you try and move the item in to it. the bottom dock is very touchy on this and takes careful placement of the mouse pointer when you try and move the player back in to the bottom dock.
to find the dock areas look at this image map on the monkey's wiki site.
