Could not find my toolbar either ..tried for days .eventually double clicked on top left side of screen next to the MM icon..there it was hiding all along, it will keep disappearing until you select " Main Menu Bar" .. in the View column... There it will remain..

Actually: "At least the menu and toolbar are back. Hurrah!!! Let's hope there's no fallout from this."

Actually yes NH. You have to read a little more - like the actual body of the message:
I would like the least loss of UI settings

I think that might be true if you are an expert and can even remember where to find the places to make the settings. But not otherwise.
I'm strictly talking about the layout, eg. toolbars, panels, etc. All of that is pretty much drag & drop...

Drats! That's the one thing I forgot to note -- each of my playlists' names and # of songs.

But I do see playlists! Some are empty or look a little bare, though. Hmmm . . . .
Allow me to reiterate... there is absolutely nothing you can do in the MM registry that is going to change your library, playlists, etc. in any way.

Expert? Me? Not me i'm only an advanced user. Rusty, jiri, peke, ludek, petrcbr they are experts, the otheres are advanced users with more skills then me, i never touched a computer untill 1997 didnt even know what a link was when some one told me to go to a link. I sent back a email to them that said WHAT?.

Was so newbie i got sunburned from the monitor light.
Took me 6 months to learn how to download a file.
Took me 6 weeks watching a guru by name of leo laporte on cable tv show to learn how to do most other stuff. Sadly that cable channel is defunked now. Help though can be found at lockergnome.net for any other computer errors, chris prillio and the members there are good at computers also, chris was a host on that cable tv channel for awhile too. You can ask here too we'll try to help on the other errors if we can.

But you see experts all around me, i remember what i can or ask them again, some times though i got things fixed by uncommon ways they didnt think worked but i'm just dumb enough to try them.

So if i can do this then if you can thread a needle you can do this stuff on the computer too just might take more to learn programming then needle and thread.

Thanks, Keith. You, along with many others, have been most helpful, patient and supportive.

And just when I was about to throw in the towel with MM . . .
