It now offers full support for MediaMonkey users. After you click SEND TO button the produced playlist is send to MM. Highly recommend!

how to get raings into musicip mixer?

by Rich » Sat Jun 10, 2006 10:51 pm

I love musicip mixer, but how can I get my rating info from MM into the mixer? Or do user ratings even impact the mix?

by Teknojnky » Tue Mar 21, 2006 10:50 am

BTW, there the music magic mixer has been updated to MusicIP mixer and the latest beta is available @ http://www.musicip.com/listener/product ... -downloads which has some expanded abilities for the free version.

True. I can't help wishing for a plugin, though. ;)
Echo that. In the meantime, more complete drag-and-drop functionality would help in those cases where the user needs a specialized tool (outside MM).

Actually, I was just fooling around with it: you can drag and drop into the Now Playing window, and then from there send it to a playlist.
Thanks! That is very helpful--almost there. Unfortunately, I prefer to play through Winamp, and I don't have a Now Playing window in MM. When I drag-and-(try to) drop on to the Now Playing tree node, I get rejected.

Because MM has drag-and-drop partially/largely implemented, hopefully it wouldn't be too hard to add this feature (drop to a playlist), either as a plug-in or standard.

(BTW, am I missing something: is it possible to have and use the Now Playing pane in MM when you're using the Winamp player?)

Usually I use AutoDJ, ScrobblerDJ and Auto Album DJ to play my music.

I use Predixis MusicMagic when I need one sort of music mood for longer period of time. Let say New Year Ave, Birth day party, Special evening with my sweetheart  … than the MusicMagic Mixer is awesome what it finds and how it puts together.

I too would be very happy if all that would be possible out of MM … but we must stay realistic. MM is one thing and Predixis is another.

When I make web pages I use two - three apps to come to satisfying result.

When I bake bread I use mixer and oven and do never complain why the hack do they not make a multipractic that would do all in one.

If we want professional results (which these apps defiantly produce) we have to take the best from every and put it together by our self’s.

Maybe I am wrong. Maybe I’m not..

I love it as well, but have you been able to successfully integrate it to MM via the WinAmp plug-in?

I love Predixis MusicMagic Mixer and use it often. Great app!! It takes time to analyze the entire library but after that it takes absolutely no resources at all. You just pick the starting song and it makes mix of tracks that are some how related to picked track.

I love it for making mixes. Results are superb!!

As far as I (and others) can tell, that doesn't work. http://forums.predixis.com/index.php?showtopic=1545

Thanks for the idea, though.

Drag and Drop support in to Playlists/Track List

by mdhmdh31 » Sat Mar 04, 2006 8:04 am

Predixis is great for automatically creating mixing moods and styles. If MM would support drag-n-drop in to one of its playlist, that would meet the need. (You can drag and drop out of Predixis.)

I think this request could be accomodated by running a check of the dragged file location to make sure it exists in the MM library. (I would certainly be happyto take the hit to processor usage while MM verifies the dropped are files are in the database.)

I agree Predixis Music Magic is an excellent way of creating playlists that don't rely purely on the data that you have in your tags.

I think the most realistic option could be to do the same as WinAmp has done & integrate it into the program.

This will probably involve the developers contacting Predixis direct to see if they are interested.

It is cpu intensive. My collection is about 9000 files and it took a few evenings to analyze the library then it is great with a much reduced load of the ol' cpu.. AND it automatically opens MM. But I have to save the playlist (mixes) manually.

For better understandings some info from their 'help'. http://music.predixis.com/4_help_moods.html

ps. I uninstalled it again ;) It took a massive piece of processing time. My PC wasn't very happy with it :p Although a funny feature
