Problem
My ratings synch is not working and the synch feels it needs to copy 4,000+ files each time.
What I have noticed is that I now have file XXX, File XXX (1), .... File XXX (9) in many cases. some are just (2) and (3) which means when the file is copied back its creating a new file instead of over writing the orginal. Not sure why its doing this as only thhe META data may have changed.
So I had a brilliant Idea, I would just coopy my entire Musiic folder from the phone to my external RAID drive via my laptop. Which I did.
THEN I asked MM to add/Update itself. Which it did
BUT None of the ratings seemed to havee updated. I have 400 songs rated 1 star on my phone. Only 7 on my file system. And still only 7 after the copy.
My question are:
1.Where are the song ratings kept if not in the actual song files?
2. If copying them doesn't copy the ratings, then why is MM not doing it?
