Ah, I see yours was "no longer sees drag and drop hand helds as add on drives in the my computer tree" so not an MTP (WMDM) device, as is mine. OK! Thanks.

no in my post of two weeks ago in syncing forum. well it was may 11th's post here. http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... 65#p203665
i said it no longer will show any folders or anything other then the icon for auto sync for both the zen micro and the philips. we now use.

and that is on mediamonkey mm 2.5 which did work before the ie 8 update. now it does not. so since they are working on mm 3.1 i don't think they updated anything with mm 2.5 anymore. which means it has to be something that was done by microsoft.
and with the number of old hand helds that are not working with mm anymore or having trouble with drag and drop.
then that for me kind of confirms that microsoft is the cause of our errors now with the hand helds.

the fact i updated the other computer too and now it don't want to dial out to the web also means m$ has done something. so now only hand helds are being seen by monkey for auto sync but not anylonger shown as an extra hd. in monkey's tree node for my computer. :(

RC, can you confirm you can Add/Rescan tracks from device to library on a WMDM device?

Same here for ZEN. But still MM won't playlist tracks on the device.

Doesn't work for me either, but then I have never been able to do anything from my Zen within MM, so I stopped trying.

Thanks, but Add/Rescan doesn't offer this device (Creative ZEN).

i think you have to scan your portable in to the monkeys database before you can use the send to link.
how ever the right click and play now should work with out scanning it in? :) :-?

When I use Send to... playlist on a track in the My ZEN node, the operation silently fails - i.e. no track added, no error.
