Right now, MediaMonkey is probably treating your device as if it were an MTP device which uses .pla files. Instead, try using the USB Mass Storage device plugin for your device. It should do the trick.

See: http://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index.php/USBmass

Note: you'll want to disable the wmdm plugin for your device.

Let me know if this helps.

Getting .m3u playlists on my Samsung Captivate

by rumba101 » Wed Aug 04, 2010 10:13 pm

Hi all,

I was hoping could give me a hand.

I am trying to synchronize and put music and playlists onto my Samsung Captivate. The music got on there fine. The playlists were exported as .pla files and not .m3u files, which is what the player needs. I have fiddled with the Configure Device settings to get MM to export to .m3u but to no avail. I must be doing something wrong. Can someone please help?
