I installed version 1433 about a couple of weeks ago and out of the blue, for no apparent reason, it has started opening in the foreground as expected.I've just updated to 1436 and still all good. Still no idea as to why or what was causing this but I just hope it's gone for good!! Thanks for all your help Rusty

On further investigation I'm not sure what is causing this. I have done another clean install and everything was fine until I used the RestorePlayHistory script. Then MM started opening in the background again. Upon doing yet another clean install I used the RestorePlayHistory script and MM continued to open correctly in the foreground. So there seems to be no rhyme or reason to what is triggering this behaviour.

Hi rusty, OK so I have just installed v1426 and MM still opens in the background. But I had installed the update straight over the top of my current install. So I did a clean install and MM opened in the foreground as expected. Then I installed only LyricsAndCommentViewer (since that appeared to be the cause of the problem) and MM still opens in the foreground. So the problem seems to be fixed but it hasn't affected my current install.

Should be resolved in 1425 (to be posted a bit later). Please confirm.

Exactly. This is my environment: Win7 x64, IE 9 32bit, MM 4.0.0.1421.

I am trying to fix it, but I cannot reproduce the issue, tried with WebSearch Panels (websearchpanels.2007-05-14.mmip)
Could you please give me a link to the MMIP you are using and exact steps how to reproduce the error.
Also write which OS (Win7/XP?) and which IE you are using? ANd also MM version/build/skinned or skinless?

Oh, and it doesn't matter if MM is installed in portable mode or not. The key here is: any script with embedded IE causes the issue to appear.

Thanks for confirming that. I wasn't sure about the normal install because I don't have Lyrics and Comment viewer installed on that (I use MiniLyrics instead). I think I'll go and post in the Lyrics and Comment Viewer thread.

OK after some further investigation it seems it's the Lyrics and Comment Viewer script. I used my new, clean MM4Portable and started installing my scripts one-at-a-time. I restarted MM after each one and it opened up in the foreground no problem at all but, as soon as I installed Lyrics and Comment Viewer, it opened in the background. Can anyone else confirm this behaviour? Cheers.
