Your script has served me well but now it is broken on my system no doubt due to M$ updating or patching some part of IE that your scrupt depends on.

The script itself runs fine, but attempting to resize the MM window with LandC Viewer 2.0 -2.2 causes an immediate MM crash.

I am using MM3 1301 with Windows 7, with IE 9 421 with whatever patches with Vision Skin, but every skin is the same

Could you please install and try another add-on which also depends on IE, like MonkeyRok? So, we could tell if the problem relates to my script only, or to IE embbeding in general.

I have systematically eliminated every IE dependent script from MM because of these issues, including MonkeyRok (which I liked). I am running pretty much vanilla MM now, but for some strange reason MM has no way to easily view lyrics, except for your script, which is good when IE cooperates with it.

I downloaded MonkeyRok and it has the same problem.......

I think this eliminates the possibility of a bug specific to LV. You probably have an issue with your Windows/IE installations.
FYI, I use Windows 7 64bit and IE 9 32bit. I have no problem at all!

If you want to investigate further, you could try to install IE9 32bit.
I've read somewhere IE 64bit is not that good in terms of stability and speed. And even on a 64bit OS, IE 32bit should be a better choice.

Of course, all this can just be caused by MM (a 32bit application) not being able to embed IE 64bit, but I'm not sure about this.

Hi

I am using this addon with the actual MM (WMP Skin). My FLACs have the unsynced lyrics tag, done with the tool mp3tag. But if I play the song, the addon tells me that there is no Lyric in the file (same problem with the lyrics-plugin for WMP12 but NOT a problem with the lyrics-plugin in Itunes). So, what is exactly the problem? The FLACS are saved as "Interpret - Number - Title" --> Metallica - 01 - Enter Sandman.flac... But that cant be the problem or?

Hi there, I don't know if this was always the default behaviour but Lyrics and Comment Viewer causes MM4 to open in the background. See the thread I started here:

http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... 03#p308418

It's not really a biggie but is there anything that can be done about it? Cheers.

Maybe it is a conflict with something I am not experiencing this problem on two different Win7 64 systems, and on my home computer I have a lot of scripts installed.

I've experienced this in my home computer, but I didn't associate it with LV at first. I'll made some tests when I get home.

But I doubt it's something related DIRECTLY to LV. IMO, it's probably something related to IE embedding. A possible test is uninstalling LV and installing MonkeyRok. Then check if the issue remains. In case it does, then IE embedding is the cause.

Thanks gege, It'll be interesting to see what you discover.

Just tested and... conclusion is:
Issue affects ANY script with embedded IE. MM opens in background even if the panel in question isn't visible. It's sufficient the script being installed. Tested and confirmed with Lyrics Viewer, MonkeyRok and WebSearch Panels scripts.

Environment: Win7 x64, IE 9 32bit, MM 4.0.0.1419.

Thanks gege, I don't have MonkeyRok or WebSearch Panels installed so I can't check those on mine. But isn't RightClickForWeb a script with embedded IE? And maybe Lyricator? I have them installed but it's only LV that causes background opening (ie: if I uninstall LV but still have RCFW and Lyricator then MM opens in the foreground as expected).
