Playlist Management and Multiple Device Sync
Could there be node selection for Playlists as there is for phone, mp3, or main library itself? I use playlists to build the selections for several players and phones. It would be very handy to be able to navigate the playlist in the same manner we navigate everything else in MM. It is very easy to ...

Re: iPhone 3.1 firmware support
LOL, didn't know you were Jailbroke. I use iphonebrowser. But itunes has still been funky at times concerning the music db file. If I want to be safe, I just let itunes do it the first time and then don't touch ringtones....the file structure is tricky on the phone. Especially the music db and files ...

Re: iPhone 3.1 firmware support
etheriau...here is a porblem I have encountered in the past that might pertain. Are you syncing ringtones? Even if you have ":manage music and videos" set to "manual" ringtones settings don't follow this will sync and lock out files. iTunes evidently treats ringtones as "music" and stores in the ...

Re: iTunes 9.0 Compatibility
Jiri, all I can say is you guys do not charge enough. The latest negative response to PALM from USB-IF in support of Apple's blocking iTunes syncing with the Pre is not encouraging. I am sure your business model never took into account the work you would have to be doing concerning Apple's offensive ...

Re: iTunes 9.0 Compatibility
impulse also note that itunes will only allow you to install 3.1. If users want to retain capability to jailbreak at this time DO NOT update to iphone OS 3.1. Thanks for talking about this issue impulse. Hopefully you will help other avoid some problems. I had to restore one of my phones becuase of ...

Re: iTunes 9.0 Compatibility
Impulse, to remove files from iphone without restore you can try this:
http://code.google.com/p/iphonebrowser/
Not sure if your original issue will affect iphonebrowser or not. Also, you will have to deal with the bizarre iphone name and structure BS.

Thanks nohitter...
One point that might need revision. 3GS phones work fine with the beta plugin-as long as they are on 3.0 iphone OS.

compatibility DO NOT UPGRADE TO 3.1 If AT ALL POS
As an example of user frustration let me give you my current situation. Files are corrupted on a 3g phone according to "Geniuses" at Apple. This is a business phone not a toy. I need to restore to factory settings. I don't have itunes 9 installed nor do I plan to until I am sure all compatibility ...

Re: Major major request - server/client functionality
nwender it sounds like you want different computers to share the same database. Is that what you mean by "library file"? If so, you can do as B B did in the above post: I have 1 NAS unit with all my music, 20.000 +, on. 4 laptops (LT), all with MM installed. On the NAS is also the MM.DB. The NAS is ...

Re: Major major request - server/client functionality
UNC = Uniform Naming Convention...a windows network location address system...its the windows name/syntax for the path to a location in your network. In this case your music files. When you add/scan using MM just locate the folders you want to scan by using the "Network" node in the Nav selection ...

Re: d_iPhone.dll supporting iPhone 3.0 firmware
My 3g's and 3gs' will work for music, browser, etc with no sim card installed. They were originally activated for ATT by normal means via itunes. I use old 2g phones for players with no sim cards. All the phones had been activated with ATT at one time...but I don't see why you couldn't use the other ...
