You are correct, the plugin does not work if MediaMonkey is installed in portable mode.
It should have detected this and displayed a message, but that apparently didn't work in all cases.

If there's no tray icon to be seen then the plugin has not been installed properly.
Please check under "Tools / Addons" and install the .mmip package from there if needed.
The default port for the app is 19371.

You'll also need the most recent MM 2024 beta.

The latest plugin version should work with the 2024 beta now.

I have the paid version of Monkeymote and have used it with MM4 sucessfully - I installed this new Monkeymote plugin but it doesn't seem to work (not detecting) and I can't find any settings menu anywhere within MM5 - are there some instructions that you can provide? Not sure what I am missing ...
