missing data in MM when connected as Android MTP
I connect my Android and MM recognizes my device and memory card. However, it doesn't seem to read the album artists or the bitrates on some files. yet the same SD card in a reader attached to my computer has all the metadata. Why is that?

Audiobooks and .nomedia
Ok.. where do I put my audiobook mp3 files so that they don't get played randomly with my music?
Does that folder need to have a .nomedia file in it?
Do the files have to be marked as audibook genre?
Do they need to be in a specific audibook format?
Can I have one large file for a whole book (1GB?)

Re: Sync terminology clarification
You setup what to sync on the Auto-Sync (Device)/Sync-List tab of the Device Profile. This can be anything from an Album, Artist or Genre to a Playlist. Individual files can't be selected so the use of Playlist is recommended in that case. kinda what I thought....wish that it was clearly explained ...

Sybc terminology clarification
When I say "sync" I mean that I keep things on two devices alike...files, lists etc.. So when I see sync...I think..If I add artwork to a song on my PC and set it to autosync with my android, it will update the artwork on my phone...autosync... but ... I a a bit confused... as to how to set up songs ...

Re: android
Personally, I don't use things like play counts and ratings. My biggest problem is the inconsistency in connecting to the phone when it plugs in. Unlike WinMo phones, Android phones don't "automount/dismount" as USB devices (they can't: the OS requires exclusive access to the mounting point to the ...

Re: Sync with IPOd Touch 3rd gen
With plugin "d_ipod.dll" an iTunes-compatibility-mode (force iTunes Folder structure) is available, but not with plugin "d_iphone.dll" (used for iPhone and iPod touch). Probably this is the reason for the syncing error in iTunes ? No, that is not the reason. d_iPhone.dll does not have an option for ...

moving parts of folders
I maintain two folders: some files I sync with my iPod and some I do not. I use CTRL R to rename the files to the respective folders. If I am moving an entire album, the album art moves as well. However, I sometimes don't move the entire folder so the art does not move. If I am going from the sync ...

USB source drive and USB iPod: A compatability issue?
I have my library on a USB drive attached to my computer as is my iPod. With the iPod disconnected, I start MM fine and it reads all my files satisfactorily. When I plug in my iPod, MM starts giving me (not responding) in the title bar and I am unable to sync with my iPod. Sys info: HP Pavillion ...

Re: iPod 30GB Sync question
See http://www.mediamonkey.com/support/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=13&nav=0,1 Well, that doesn't address the issue exactly. my syncs sometimes get interrupted due to external forces (like I have to turn off my computer for some reason...say because MM freezes) and when I ...

iPod 30GB Sync question
Why does MM always want to resync songs that have not changed on my ipod? I just want to keep the iPod up to date. I add music every week but I never remember exactly what I added. Shouldn't sync just keep it up to date, not recopy every song?

importing FLAC files
I don't have a lot of FLAC files (maybe 200 or so) and I am using rockbox so flac is fine for me. However, when I try to scan directories for flac files, the scans take 1-2 per song and then don't add them. It is finding the files ok...just not importing them.
