Re: AutoTag TV from filename

i see the ini and the masks, but its not clear how to apply a mask or how it works. Isn't automatic tagging on library ingestion critical? mm does after all have a setting to constantly scan file paths. how could a recently added playlist work fully without library ingestion through an automated ...

Re: AutoTag TV from filename

Thank you for confirmation, So now i have this workable expression to tag TV from filename, how do I ensure that this 'auto tag expression' is automatically applied to the right content when content is added to the library. 'right content' in this context might be any of Specific ('TV') Scan folders ...

Automatic Type Tagging

I am keen to categorise my library into collections / files against their type (TV/Movies/Music etc) to aid presentation to DLNA clients. In particular I would like a movies collection and a tv collection. Now i can do this manually by setting a criteria on the collection eg has \TV\ or \Movies\ in ...

Re: Media Monkey is v. close to being the best DLNA server

I presume that any implementation would be global to the Media Server, ie. if you'd set <Title> as <#> - <Title> it would be for all shared content in that Media Server as otherwise it would get overly complex to setup. I think the intention of the feature request is to be more granular than that ...

Re: Media Monkey is v. close to being the best DLNA server

Do you mean: http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=8742 That feature request is spot on (IMO) in defining a key opportunity to improve DLNA functionality, mapping library tags to dlna tags and folder hierarchy. I see what you mean....use library tag for position '#' in a alphanumeric ...

Re: Media Monkey is v. close to being the best DLNA server

8 ) Added as: http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=9987 Thank you for considering the request. I dont know if this is 'greedy' to submit another request.. but for those requests for ways of managing folder views re: contents , sub divisions etc, i would add that it would be good to have a ...

AutoTag TV from filename

Hi All, I was looking for a tagging algorithm from filename for TV stored in format T:\Tv\SeriesName\Season 01\S01E01 - Title but some of the multi episode titles are S01E01-E02 - Title (as this is how my HTPC/extender software likes it) this seemed to work <Series>\Season<Season#>\S<Skip>E<Episode ...

Media Monkey is v. close to being the best DLNA server

I have have tested every DLNA server going and none of them are perfect but MediaMonkey's dlna implementation is the closest. My Environment 20TB Music, Tv and Movie collection with separately maintain local metadata contained within the the file structure / filenames (its Media Browser FWIW ...

Re: Play in track order

I can sort you out... i have been searching high and low for a DLNA server that can sort on my TV. MediaMonkey has the answer. Short answer, set the title tag of your music to be '%tracknumber% - %title%' rather than just %title%. This forces all all renderers who only sort alphabetically to show ...
