Re: android

Count me in as a big vote for a full featured MM android player app. I'm not sure why the devs aren't jumping in on this? I'm not a coder, so maybe it's just a much bigger challenge then it appears to those of us who are just advocates and users. But it would seem a no-brainer way of extending the ...

Thanks for the info Rusty. I'll have to check the timestamps, don't know if or how they would change. I wonder if that is a deficiency that will be overcome in the Locate Moved/Missing function? With that constraint, it seems to be pretty useless in anything other than perfectly controlled ...

"Locate Moved/Missing Tracks..." fix coming?

I posted about this in another thread but am thinking this is a better location. I'm running Gold 3.0.3.1166 and the "Locate Moved/Missing Tracks..." selection doesn't work at all. Any ideas when this functionality will come online? I see that there are two mentions of this getting fixed in the beta ...

When will "Locate Moved/Missing Tracks" be fixed?

Ok, I did a typical guy thing; did something without reading the directions first, then after experiencing problems I looked up the directions and realized I did something wrong, but it's too late. I moved my entire library from one PC to another without Media Monkey running- broke all my ...

That worked! Thanks Nova5, it was as simple as unifiying my username/passwords between the two machines and voila! I would never have guessed it would be that easy- I would have thought that Windows network would see the identical username/password as just a coincidence (in the name of security ...

Interesting Nova5. So let me get this straight; creating an identical username/password account on any other PC in the workgroup extends privileges of that same-named user account from the host PC? So MS networking rules "understand" that user accounts with identical usernames and passwords are the ...

Thanks Teknojnky, I figured it was a Windows thing and not a MM thing, I just hoped someone else had been-there-done-that and had a relatively painless work around. I have googled it and most of what I've found seems to be either beyond the capabilities of one of my OS's (XP Home) or beyond my ...

Folder sharing limitations and central library

I've been using MM for a year or so on a single home PC. Now both my wife and I have new laptops so I am trying to set up a centralized location for music files and database. I've added, mapped and shared a high-capacity drive to the original PC and moved all of the music files to it. I've moved the ...

Forum Search Help

Can anybody point me in the direction of forum search help? I am trying to find out what, if any, logic operators are supported by this forum's search engine. i.e. Does it support "+" between key words for "and" logic? It would sure help me drill down more precisely to pertinent answers and posts ...

Ahhh, it does appear to be the absence of the folder.jpg file. I was under the false idea that windows would automatically find the album art imbedded in the mp3 file and use that for the thumbnail. Now I see that this process only takes place automatically if I use WMP to rip CD's, not MM. Bummer ...

Album art in Windows Explorer

I'm sure this is more of a Windows issue than MediaMonkey but I'm hoping somebody here has a tip. The problem is that when I go to my music folder via Windows Explorer (XP) and set all folders for thumbnail view, a few of my folders do not display the album art on the folder icon; they simply show ...

Actually, the issue at hand does not appear to have any effect or consequence on the way tracks are listed in the Now Playing window; the album track number is not attached to the title in the title field in the Now Playing list and the tracks are only numbered in the order that they are added to ...

Ok, just noticed that this anomaly only shows up will viewing in the Album or Artist nodes. If viewing in the Title node, the track number is not part of the title. Wierd.

Thanks for the info. Hopefully it's a refinement we'll see in the next release.
