MediaMonkey 3.2.0.1294 (Release)

Post by rrfpacker »

I know this will be a dumb question (I am ignorant about such things right now), but does this mean the beta testing is done and this is the newest version for a while? I see the latest post says beta testing will begin for version 4.0, which seems to be a big jump from 3.2.

If I have version 3.2.0.1292 I should be able to use it until the next big version, right? It doesn't seem as though there is much difference in .1292 and .1294, at least nothing that would affect me.

I was a bit surprised to see the jump to 4.0 from 3.2. And I am a bit bummed because I just bought the Gold License, but only purchased a the 3.xx Gold. I was trying to save a few pennies by not purchasing the Lifetime Gold License. It looks like I got burned. :x I'm only going to get one version out of that Gold license. I'm sure I would have purchased the Lifetime Gold if I had known that it would go from 3.2 to 4.0.

gpzbc,

You needn't worry about your purchase of a 3.x license. Our policy is that anyone who purchases a license should get at least a year of upgrades with it.

So that makes you kind of lucky--you'll get the benefits of 3.x Gold, and will get a free 4.x license assuming we release 4.x less than a year after you purchased 3.x.

Accurate ripping (like EAC), ability to share a MM library with UPnP devices and other MM installations in a network, and video support.

I'm looking forward to the greater network support and EAC-like ripping. :D
