1202: MutiMedia buttons BUG#2430

Post by 68rustang »

Multimedia buttons not working if MM3.1 is in active window.

Running MM 3.1 the multimedia buttons and volume control on the keyboard don't work unless MediaMonkey is "out of focus" by that I mean if MM is in the active window the buttons do nothing. If I minimze MM or even just make another window active the controls work. This only happens with MM, no other programs.

not sure if this will help but go to window's download center,
look for keyboard drivers, they updated them some time in the middle of summer or late spring this year
if you did not get them then you might beable to get your troubles fixed with it.
they made a program download with all the drivers in for all the models of keyboards when you install it just pick the one you want to install, i think the install program is called "itype" yep here is the name on the search page
you have to be a certified xp or vista computer to get anything from there but here is what i think you need.

IntelliType Pro Keyboard Software for Windows :)

I tried it on my Logitech 700x multimedia keyboard and the media buttons work both with MM in focus and out of focus. Does your multi keys work in 3.0?

I would like to ask any user interested in this topic for small help.

Due to lots of changes in .1202 and .1203 and tests with various devices, no matter if thing works or you have issues can you please state Keyboard manufacturer and model no. so that we can try to track exact issue and make things little bit easier to see what is going on. (keyboard photo and/or URL to keyboard spec would be more than welcome). Brief description what (not)works would be also much appreciated as it can help us to narrow problematic features.

Since my keyboard is a year or two old, I could not find anything on Logitech's website but I have the LX700 and all my multimedia keys work except the audio presets, but I have no idea what they are supposed to do. Here is a description of it from newegg.com.

@nynaevelan
Using 1203 can you try to assign new hotkey to keys that do not work? Additionally you can try to unload Setpoint and use USB instead of PS2 for connecting keyboard.
