3.1.2.1272 Sort orders in AutoPlaylist not work properly

I'm sorry. Bad speak English.
I note that in AutoPlaylist not work the second and the following sort orders.
Example, I chose the rules in the following sort orders:
1. Random
2. Played #
Previously, all tracks were mixed at first, then lined up in order, depending on the amount of play. Now, randomly, according to only the first rule.

just got back here after doing testing on my system. not sure if nohitter151 got this when he tested but
the sort order is broken. it will not use any sort rule after the first one. it just wont' do it.
it will use the first sort rule and ignore any later sort rules, i even tried to use the first sort on the basic panel
then the others on the advanced panel.
and
the first on the advanced panel and the second on the basic panels. still the same thing it ignores the later sort rules.
i did this test on my windows xp sp3 dell system i call my main system.

I did try it, worked fine for me. I have several autoplaylists with multiple sort criteria and they all seem to be working fine. I did specifically test the original post, sorting by played# then random and confirmed that it works fine.

How could you test this RC, I thought you don't have the Gold version?

nohitter151, the fact remains that, in the "AutoPlaylist criteria - advanced" works normally only the first sort criteria. I checked it several times for different ways of sorting. Maybe worth a closer approach to this question is for XP SP3?

As I said, I already tested this with the sort criteria you described (played# then random) and it works fine. What other examples do you have?

It really doesn't make sense that it would work in Windows 7 and not XP. MM is using the same SQlite3MM.dll file on both OSes.

RC, I'm not even sure you are describing the same error. You said you are trying sort criteria on both the basic and advanced panels, when MM only uses the sort criteria from one or the other, not both.

You can add multiple sort criteria in the basic panel, or multiple sort criteria in the advanced panel, but never in both panels.

No 1272 did not fix it.

still wont follow the rules for the sorts after the first rule. i even made new lists and or edited old lists and it just won't do it.

I tested out autoplaylists with multiple criteria and multiple sorts, and it always seems to work. The only time multiple sorts don't work is when Random is selected before a secondary sort, but that's not a bug--it's expected behavior. i.e. as pointed out by nohitter, with the current implementation, its impossible to have a random sort and then sort by 'Played#' because 'Random' is not specific to any field.

If you're able to find a case in which MM fails to sort by multiple properties, please describe exactly what sort properties you're using.

thats on my system in both the basic and the advanced auto lists and on 1271 and on 1272
the rules for the auto list inculed last played >= 7 days.
genere does not equal christmas, concert.
custom field 3 = value's of rockmix, countrymix, discomix. so on and so forth for all the genera's i have.


have not tested it yet on latest beta.

What do you mean by Played Times? I tested Artist,Title, (Played #, Last Played) on existing Artist,Title sorted AutoPlaylist.
Both worked as expected, ie. the additional sort had no impact, still sorted by Artist,Title.

i just typed times.

i have not tested in the latest beta yet but since it did not work in the last two theres the chance it wont in this one. but i hope it does. still? if not i'll have to try and find a way to make it show in a debug log? hard to do since it does not crash monkey.
