This may have existed in prior versions, but I'm sure that I've done this same sequence of actions before and never noticed this odd behavior.
If you are in any Library node or Playlist and have used the Track Browser to select anything, then chosen Tools/Options, when you exit the Options window by choosing OK, the Track Browser columns up to and including the one you used to select the Tracks viewed are emptied. You must force a refresh to recover the contents of those two columns.
For instance, click the Artist node of the Library, then pick any Artist from the Track Browser. MM will display all the Tracks for that Artist. Now choose Tools/Options, then immediately exit Options by selecting OK. You'll see that the Genre and Artist columns in the Track Browser have been emptied. Had you used Genre to limit the Tracks used, only the Genre column of the Track Browser would now be emptied. Had you used the Album column to limit the Tracks displayed, all 3 Track Browser columns would be empty. It behaves the same if you start in a Playlist.

Re: Strange Behavior in 1280
Anyone else seeing this? I can't reproduce.
Teapot,
Can you put together a short video showing this? Hopefully it'll give me some idea of something else on your system that might be triggering this.
Thx.

Re: Strange Behavior in 1280
I can reproduce this as well, I wonder if it is somehow related to 6103

Re: Strange Behavior in 1280 [#6117]
I found that there is something specific to my MediaMonkey.ini file. If I start MM after renaming my MediaMonkey.ini file both this and 6103 no longer occur.

Re: Strange Behavior in 1280 [#6117]
In my environment, deleting the .ini file had no effect. What is required to trigger the bug on my system is to enable a filter (I tested with the 'Available Tracks' filter.

Weird, because even if I change my filter to 'None (Show all tracks)' both issues still occur.rusty wrote:In my environment, deleting the .ini file had no effect. What is required to trigger the bug on my system is to enable a filter (I tested with the 'Available Tracks' filter.
