I can't seem to save any changes to the columns no matter how I make them (collection editor, right-click columns, etc). A lot of the video columns are showing up for Music collections (I removed "Music Video" from the filter) and I don't want to see them. Also, MM won't save my column order either. Is anyone else experiencing this?
Thanks,
Mike

Re: Column changes not saving?
I reported it in a while back but it never got a bug number--may be related to bug 7120? It is a really hassle!

There's not much to it... I've done the following steps from different nodes and the result is always the same:
1) Select a music node
2) Right-click a column header an uncheck it or select the hide option (I'm removing video-specific columns)... or add Disc#... that won't stay either
3) Click a different node and then return.... the changes are undone.

Here some issues are listed: http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=7120
I wonder if this is a clean vs. non-clean install? For me it's a complete mess and nothing makes sense when it comes to column management.

I'll try wiping out my current installation and reinstall to see if that makes a difference.

Re: Column changes not saving?
Not all columns behave alike. I tested this on a new install on a separate computer and "out of the box" here's what I found with a couple of sample columns:
The column "ACTORS" appears by default In the Music collection. It can be removed, but only while the view remains. Move to another collection and back to Music, and ACTORS is back.
The column "Track #" on the other hand behaves as expected. Add and it stays put. Remove it and it's gone from the view next time you return.
Like Mike, I've tried every which way to alter the columns that appear in a collection node and this inconsistent behaviour persists.

Did a clean install 1345, re-imported db, next day did a non-clean install of 1346, columns didn't save for the first 6 to 7 times I restarted. Tried it in the now playing node as well. But now, for some reason MM is remembering the columns and order. Not sure what I did, but as long as it works now.

I'm having the same issues. I think it started when I created some new collections....

Re: Column changes not saving?
Yeah, since 1346 when I added a new collection, columns are again not being remembered. The columns are becoming a mixture of what tabs I'm using. I set them the way I want in one view, switch tabs to have a different view, set the columns there, switch back and the columns order are not remembered, even a few extra columns have been added(usually the ones I have added in the second tab). So I just reset them again.
