Thanks for helping to test MediaMonkey for macOS! This note provides a few basic guidelines to help you report bugs/make requests in such a way that will help us resolve the issues as quickly as possible.
When submitting a report, please scan the beta forum beforehand to ensure that the problem hasn't already been discussed/fixed. If it has been discussed, please add the information to the existing thread. If your bug hasn't been reported yet, please report it in a new topic so that it's easy to find and track OR if you prefer, report it via our helpdesk.
1) In the report, please be specific and concise in your description of the problem and clearly describe the steps needed to reproduce the issue. If it's difficult to clearly describe the bug, record a screencast (you can use Command + Shift +5) and post a link to the screencast video.
2) Provide information about your environment. e.g.
- OS: macOS 15.7.3 , Device: MacBook Air 2020 (Intel)
- MediaMonkey version: 2027.0.0.3513
If the bug is specific to certain files, Send the files needed to replicate the problem.
3) If the problem isn't consistently reproducible or is environment-specific, send us a debug log. Debug logs can be generated automatically in case of crashes, but otherwise must be manually generated. To do so in MediaMonkey for macOS, trigger the issue and then click Help > Debug > Send logs.
- An 'Application error' screen appears containing the debug log. Fill in your contact info, and provide a brief description of the problem and a link to the forum post OR the helpdesk ticket# in which you reported the issue.
- Copy the LogID and add it to the Forum or Helpdesk ticket. Then click 'Send log'.
- If the log fails to send, you can find it in /Public/MediaMonkey5/Debug.log (or Debug.log.last if you need the previous log), and you can then share it with use via the helpdesk.
