The annoying issue of hidden messages has been reported by various users several times already - including me.
They still occur quite often, especially 'edit properties' windows that are hidden behind the browse window. Nothing done against it?
This time I came upon a brand new one.
I was (finally) trying to get my iPod connected to MM and after configuring it I wanted to sync it.
For more than an hour MM taskbar said MM was preparing the files to be synced - or something like that.
For the rest: no activity.
I wanted to give up but could not terminate the syncing process.
So I closed MM.
Then the message became visible: "There is not enough space on your device to sync the selected files".
Why not tell me that immediately, in a VISIBLE way?
And also:
Not enough space? My iPod has 111 Gb available, I had selected 103 Gb files in the playlists-to-be-synced.
So the space should be enough, right?

Re: A new annoying hidden message
this happens from time to time rusty i've had it in lots of other programs but mostly ones which chose to open tons of child windows.
i believe the code is going to fast on the new systems for the message to show up on top of the child window. in this case its the edit panel.
the out of space code is mostly one that comes from windows or the hd. and that makes it load faster then monkey's windows, making it hide behind monkey's.
one way i think you can get by this is to make a code that will move monkey's windows to the rear for finding the error message then back to the front for use by the monkey's user.
if done right this would not even flicker the window and nothing would change if there is not any message in the background. or make a code to show all system alerts on top of monkey.
which ever way you can figure to do it.?

Re: A new annoying hidden message
I still get messages hidden behind the main MM4 window [1439].
For example the backup script confirmation.
It is most annoying and not only that it freezes main the MM4 window so that it cannot be minimised.

I also have this happen, and today I've had it happen with the rip CD dialogue. I inserted a CD without MM running, then when the MM main window popped up I clicked in it (I think this was the 'mistake'). The rip window appeared but behind MM and I only figured this out by clicking on the MM task on the task bar (this brought the dialogue to the front). It's really difficult as an end user to know that this is what has happened - it looks like it's just frozen.
