how do i get lastfm to work with MM?

i did a search and i got hundreds of returns. way to many to sift through. can someone please tell me what plugin or series of steps it takes to get lastfm to work? thanks alot.

i think last.fm recently released an universal plugin that works with all players. i'm at work right now so i cant test it myself, but i believe that it should be easier with this new version.

Yes it is, althru I do prefer original Winamp Plugin due to its light weight and low memory profile.

i need the winamp plugin to do that. the link on the site is valid anymore. i searched google for a plugin somewhere else but couldnt find one.

ive also installed that new last fm program but i dont see an option for MM.

oops didnt realise i wasnt logged in. anyways i think i got it to work. i found the old plugin for winamp. here it is if anyone is interested.

this image ( found at https://www.last.fm/join/?page=2&create ... +to+Step+2 ) shows the text "if your player isnt listed above, click add", didnt that work? i know you got it working with the old plugin, just curios.

ok, didnt quite work for me that way, this is how i got it to work:

1. download the last.fm plugin (i used v 1.0.1)
2. just follow the instructions to install the winamp plugin (i guess you have to have winamp installed)
3. once you have installed the plugin go to the Winamp/Plugins folder. look for the file ml_wa2_scrobbler.dll (i had Winamp 5.24 installed, i think the filname can differ if you have a medialibrary version of Winamp or not)
4. copy that file to the MediaMonkey/Plugins folder, and rename it to gen_scrobbler.dll
5. and it should work. note that you can't configure this plugin via MM's options-panel.
