I'm not "complaining" about the microplayer size. What i'm tring to say is that the microplayer bar is moved excessively in the direction of the red arrow. Or, if you prefer, the space highlighted by the green arrow is a little less than the space highlighted by the blue one. By the way, i just discovered that it's the same problem for all MM3 skins...i'm gonna read the thread linked by you, gege.

Supz, the pop-up volume bar seems to be impossible with MM3 skin engine, but (and i like it) whenever you hover on the MM icon on the tray you can see title, artist and time played/left of the song currently playing ;) Well, maybe it could be nice to see that also when you hover on the microplayer, but nohitter tries to "copy" the Zune software, so maybe he's is not gonna add it, if ever it is possible to.

Update: i read the topic linked by gege. It realy seems to be a program issue, and not due to the skin. Hope they are gonna fix it :) Thank you.

Everything which SuPz says, must be added by the developers. It will get done, but not for MM 3.0.0.

Except for the microplayer vertical-orientation issue which should be fixed by the developers before the initial release - I'm not saying it will, but I would think so.
Best regards,

nohitter tries to "copy" the Zune software
I don't think there is anything like a microplayer for Zune, so i don't think there is a problem here. nohitter should at least optimize the zune skin then rather just duplicate it, there are a few flaws in Zune that should be replaced rather then copied, but it is nohitter's choice on how it looks like...

awww serious? i'm guessing i have to wait then.

Supz, thanks for the compliment and feedback. Yes, unfortunately all the changes you have suggested are not possible with the current skinning engine. The current changes that I will be implementing in the next release are:

1. Consistent unknown album art image
2. Song title scrollable area limited to shuffle button

I'm also considering adding a Peak level visualization but a few problems include that I'm still not sure where to place it AND that I have never used one before, so it will take a bit of experimenting to figure out what I'm doing!

I noticed what Fraxav posted about a while ago but was lazy to post it before. But i was able to get a screenshot so hopefully you will understand what has was talking about when he said this:
I like the idea of the volume level bar placed in the round zune controller, but i noticed the "bouncing bars" overlapping during playback and this can be unpretty, I think. You should find a way not to show the bars...
Image
Theres the "bouncing bars" he was talking about on the same volume bar. It appears only after you change the volume and you can't see it clearly in the pic but there are two, i'm guessing one for the left and right channels.

Actually got an example here thats clearer...
Image
That took me 10 mins to capture, so hard to screenshot it.

Hopefully nohitter knows what Fraxav was talking about and this is on his list to fix in the next release. It really does look ugly. ^^

Thank you supz ;)
Yeah, to be true those little movig bars are not that pretty, if you want to leave the volume control in the actual position (and i like it where it is).

Well that is strange! I've never seen anything like that.. how do you get it to happen?

Uhm...don't know this...
I think supz gave the answer, so maybe try to use the volume bar or randomly click inside the black circle. I just tried to do this, and works: in miniplayer mode, mute the playback via the apposite button, than click it again and you should see the bouncing bars. Volume at 100% will help.

I still can't replicate this. I'll have a look at the skin code and see if something is strange in there.

Ver 1.3.1.3
-Fixed Album art inconsistency
-Song title scrollable area fixed
-Float player volume bar glitch fixed

(See first post)

Hopefully I've fixed the volume bar glitch. I was never able to replicate it but I changed part of the code so hopefully it is gone now. Also, there is a new "unknown album art" image; I lost the big version of the old one so hopefully this one is ok!

Whenever i change the volume i get that problem. As i said, if you keep the volume bar at 100% you'll see it better.
Anyway, it still happens with the new version :(
I like the album art, but maybe you could have left the image without the "no album art" sentence, or should have used a cooler effect :P
well done for the scrolling title.
in microplayer the two buttons still have thesame effect, but i see you didn't try to fix it yet.
we want the bouncing bar spectrum!! :P 8)

Well I don't know what to do about the volume bar. I can't seem to get the problem to happen (I swear I've tried!) and there's nothing in the skin code that would indicate those bars should show up.

Those other things you mention.. hopefully in the next release.

Personally, I think the new Zune software is quite ugly. Also, a lot of the things in that skin are not possible to make with MM's skinning engine. So no, I don't have any plans as far as the new Zune software. Certainly anyone else is welcome to try! At this point I'd really like to put out my own skin (made from scratch) as my next major project. I have already started working on it, but it will be awhile yet.

Of course, I will try to continue to improve this skin as well, but nothing too major.
