Date sort order, Album Art with Details view

I am having trouble sorting the library by the date column. I first noticed this when sorting a podcast folder, and it appears to be a constant issues throughout the library.

Clicking the "date" column header in the library for the first time produces some kind of a sort (though not immediately obvious what). Subsequent clicks do not reverse sort order.

This issue only appears when using the "Album Art with Details" view.

Can anyone else recreate this? Or am I missing something?

I've noticed this as well..

dates with a simple year defined seemed to order correctly for me...

but dates with dd/mm/yy do not.. - so mainly podcasts are the issue.

I initially thought it was only in album art list view but now I have found podcasts which do it in all views..

eg.. this doesn't sort properly:
http://www.soundtrack.net/rss/podcast.rss

this sort properly in normal tracklist view.. but doesn't sort AT ALL in album art list view:
http://www.abc.net.au/triplej/hack/podc ... _daily.xml
(all my triple jjj ones seem to react the same)

what happens with podcasts from countries where the date format is mm/dd/yy ?
