Weird Display Bug

Post by spacefish »

MM Gold 3.0.1.1127
Windows Vista Home Premium (x86)
Problem occurs with any skin.

I've got something that's just baffling me because I cannot reproduce it on any other album I've tried.

I have 2 versions of David Bowie's 1. Outside album:

As you can see from the image, Version 2 is missing its decimal point after the 1 even though there is one present in the tag:

I've tried clearing the tag and typing it in again. I've tried copying the tag from the correctly displayed album to the incorrectly displayed album, all with no change in behavior. Thinking it might be related to the colon, I tried reproducing this on another album with numbers, added a decimal point, a colon and more but everything still displayed correctly. It's just this one album and it's driving me nuts! If I change the space in the tag to an underscore however, it displays the decimal point correctly, but of course I don't want to do that as it corrupts the tag.

Any ideas what might be happening here or how I might go about fixing it? I've also rescanned the folder with no change.

Here I've found another case.

If I remove the space between vs. and 808 the period shows up. Note again, this album title also has a colon in it (though I have no idea if that matters!). Still, I can't figure out why it's only a problem on some albums and not on others.

Here's another. This time the problem occurs with an ellipsis, typed as 3 single periods.

If I remove the space between Monsters... and and, the display only shows a single period, i.e. Monsters.and.

I'm able to see the same. Sometimes the dots disappear. I search for albums containing a dot, and in 'view albumart with details' view the some albums do not have a dot in title. When opening the properties window, the dot is there.

I've found a few more in my library, most with ellipses, that are having the same problem. Can we get a fix for this?
