In MM2, a track could be set to restart on my iPod where I stopped listening, by setting the genre to Audiobook or Podcast.
Kind of an undocumented side-effect.
I had thought that this was going to be a selectable switch independent from genre, is it is now in iTunes. My understanding was that this was going to be added in release 3.
If its there, I can't find it. If not, I presume the old method still works?? I hope the new way will eventually show up.
thnx,

MM3 has bookmarking enabled for audiobooks and podcasts if the genre is set to book or podcast respectively. I've also successfully used one of the custom fields to create a criteria for bookmark-enabled mix mp3s (where the mix is one long file instead of one file per track). You can find these under Filters & Views. The Player tab in the Configure dialog is where you'd need to enable bookmarking if it's not already enabled.
e.g. Filters & Views > Audiobooks > Configure > Player > Enable Bookmarking
e.g. Filters & Views > Audiobooks > Configure > Player > Enable Bookmarking

BUT - I think this only effects the MM3 player. The correct bit doesn't get set on the iPod.I've also successfully used one of the custom fields to create a criteria for bookmark-enabled mix mp3s (where the mix is one long file instead of one file per track)
If I'm wrong, I would certainly like to hear about it. I would like to use other genres than "Audiobook" or "Podcast", and still have the "restart where you left off" work.
