Annoying new shopping link in song lists

Post by hintergrundrauschen »

How can I get rid of the new annoying info/shopping links that are displayed in the gray bar when you highlight a song (the small arrows that open up amazon.com in a browser) ??

You have to watch out where you click when you actually just want to select a song, double click it to add it to the playlist etc.

It's horrible. And I sure am not interested in buying at amazon.com.

tools > options > library > appearance

you can turn it off, or perhaps change to something else

Great, thanks Teknojnky for the quick reply. I looked thorugh the options but overlooked it.

It's currently not possible to customize the links available in the drop down list, is it?

Does not seem to be, unless there are some undocumented ini settings.

Hopefully it will become more configurable in the future, its actually a decent idea, I am using for going to the library.

I am trying this out right now, that might be a useful idea. Have to see if I can gain more control over my mouse clicking position when acting quickly...

Sorry for my emotional wording in the first post, but I feared iTunes-ification of my favourite music player

I am having a WTF moment. I found the option, but, can not see what you are talking about in the Library view.

Still on that steep part of the learning curve.

If you found the option, you saw that there is a drop down menu next to it. Just click that down arrow and select Library instead of Amazon. Save changes and enjoy.
I don't have no time for no MediaMonkey buisness...

Been there. Done that. Still can't see what changed in the UI.

When you select a track in the track browser littl grey arrow appear next to some of the fields like Artist and Genre.
Download my scripts at my own MediaMonkey fansite.
All the code for my website and scripts is safely backed up immediately and for free using Dropbox.

Setting the option to "Library" has certainly made my life easier. I'm constantly right-clicking to "find more of same...".

This is a wonderful new addition to the interface. Kudos!!

Really like this...
Wish I could "go to the library" in this way directly from the current track in the player though.

Thanks. Got it now. Find More without going to the context menu. And, I am set to Library.
