Additions to the Net Radio node

Post by Fraxav »

Hello everybuddy. :)
Last night I suddenly woke up asking myself: what if I could add my own favorite net radios on the Net Radio node?
I think it would be a great thing, so you can open your radio site on MM without launching the browser. Or at least you can manage all of them from the same app., without swapping from the browser to MM.
And more: what if I could save my favorite channels on every radio in a sub-node of that radio (or something like that) and be able to (re)name them (sometimes channels or .pls files have weird names)?
I'm asking this because I find it very useful, because I don't know if this is already possible and because I already tried saving the .pls of some channels from Shoutcast and they won't appear on the Library even after a re-scan.

Opinions, opinions, opinions!!! :D

As recommended in the online help, I set up a playlist e.g. "Radio Stations" for favourite radio stations.

Now if I run into a station I want to keep I just drag and drop it from Now Playing to the "Radio Stations" playlist.

Uhm, I realize now that I misundestood what you said...and maybe you did the same with me.
Your answer is good for the part of my answer regarding "saving channels of a net radio to 'favorites' ".
But what I'd really like to be supported is the possibility to add a new website (my favorite net radio) to the Nat Radio node, having it to show in the same list with Shoutcast and Icecast.
Tell me that you like the idea and this will be implemented soon. :P
