Hi

Unfortunately not.

You cant select an individual file to be run as administrator, at least not scripts.

But I did go in and changed the access rights to the files so I gave myself full control. Still didnt make a difference.

But I think I will have a look around as I have just installed SP1 for Vista and I have a feeling that there may be some other security settings in Vista in regards of VBscripts

Yeah, it's definitely either Vista or possible some sort of anti-virus type program which is blocking the script from running.

Hi Jon
I got nearly the same problem. So i disabled the "User Account Control" from Vista, and the installation of the scripts will be fine. Hope, that will be solve your problems.

hi
I just reinstalled MM3 and used the restore script, works perfect. But one thing I notice now is that my "extensions" list is emty. Maybe this is something you would want to fix..

Thx for the script anyway, its great.
Music is great!
MM with:
AutoAccRate 2.4.2, Blue Monkey 2.1, Backup 5.1, AutoAlbumDJ 3.5, Last100.. node, ClearNowPlayingButton 1.2, Monkey Rok, Last FM DJ and Scrobbler that scrobbles!

I noticed the other day that my backups were already over 2 gig, alot considering the size of my DB and a bunch of text files.

I got a new disk today and while checking the move of files to it I just happend to notice alot of 1234.jpg 675.jpg.

Uhuh, its backing up all the old browse by art cache images :(

I forgot they were in there :(

Perhaps some sort of exception list for the scripts backup :)

If it's old files for an old script, maybe they should be removed completely, then they'd never get backed up! :D

nynaevelan wrote:When you find time in your super busy schedule and you get around to adding the backup playlist features back to this script, would you consider the possibility of adding the export playlists features of the Export Modified M3Us script? It would be really nice if this feature was also an automated process and since the backup script does such a fine job of backups, it would go really well here rather than have that one automated. Interested??
Where you hoping that the M3Us would be exported to the last export folder, or into the output path?

I would prefer the the last output folder but I can work with either location.

Unfortunately it's not going to be possible to do this automatically on shutdown as when this backup is done there is no access to the SDB object.

So are you saying it can't be done at all or it just will not be an option at shutdown??

New version (4.8.) is now available to download from my website. Changes include...

- Fixed output path should not be a root folder
- Fixed component not installed if copy to %windir% fails
- Added warning message showing output path filesize
- Added option to backup extenions folder
- Added option to create a second archive

The new warning message should stop new users from deleting data in the future, hopefully. :)
