Is there any way to move the mediamonkey.m3u file away from "My Music?" I've seen posts about it in search, but none seem to be answered (or recently enough). I've already moved the database and ini file to other places, but I'd like to get rid of the MediaMonkey folder in "My Music."
Others have asked why you would want to do that in the past posts, but I think it's reasonable because many people have folders for each artist. So for me, it's slightly annoying to see:
...
Los Lonely Boys
Maroon 5
Media Monkey
Moby
Norah Jones
...
Thanks in advance,
Saleris

Esaleris,
1. Mediamonkey.m3u is MMs now playing list and it is updated/written on close off MM.
2. It is in Users MY music/Mediamonkey with reasun so that MM on next start load it and to preserve Now Playing for each user.
And Finally answer I think that you can't move M3U, but allways I may be wrong.

Thanks for your reply.
Well, I don't know if I speak for everybody, but having a folder created for just that purpose could be distracting - specifically, if every other folder in the directory is a real Artist folder. Unless I got songs from an artist named MediaMonkey!
Because the .m3u file is created explicitly for the use of MM, then it might be more reasonable to place it in Application Data. Or let users change it? I would be happy with the option to put it somewhere via .ini or option menu.

It's in documents to allow MM to work with various windows users and have independent settings for each user.
Some people prefer it this way, some people prefer it in program files.

Esaleris,
M3Us are not explicit to MM you can load Mediamonkey.M3U in Winamp and listen same songs you are listen in MM, or Nero to burn CD,... It is not explict to MM it is just best way to put it there on multiuser systems and with no admin priviledges.

Hi guys,
Thanks for the reply. I'm not saying the file is not useful - not in the least! I'm just saying that the creation of the folder "My Music\MediaMonkey" seems unnecessary!
If MM creates a .m3u file in the root directory of "My Music", that's okay - I have no objections to that. All I'm saying is that for users who put their music in folders for each Artist, the extra folder is a distraction. That's my point, through all of this.

This is requested earlyer. We'll see when it will be implemented.
