1162 Please show Disc#/Track# tag without interference

Post by chrisjj »

MM currently doesn't fully show Disc# tag values e.g. on 1/2 for some unknown reason it removes the /2 in the tracklist and Properties dialog. Also this messes up searches - a search for 1/2 does not find a track tagged 1/2.

The same issue may affect Track#.

Please could a future MM stop doing this, and simply leave Disc# intact throughout?

At http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=25423 Jiri suggested a second field for Total Discs, but I don't think this is actually any solution. MM should simply show tags as they are, without interference.

They show fine for me.

You are correct in the fact that a Basic Search for ##/## doesn't work, however an Advanced Search for Track or Disc "##/##" does work.

PS -- Where did the number 1169 come from?

Thanks, interesting... still not for me on 1162:

Again, not for me :(

Also I find adding the MM-missing /2 to a MP3 yields 1/2/2! But not on WMA.

My error, now corrected.. Thanks for the report! ;)

Looks like you're using the Non-Skinned Version of Monkey, if this is the case, have you tried in the Regular Version? Perhaps the problem lies with the Non-Skinned Version. Not sure why the version would make a difference, but you never know.

EDIT: Ha, I just noticed your Sig, where you specify you're using the Non-Skinned version.

No difference.

Miz, are you sure you're using 1162?

Did you try to rescan the folder? You might need to uncheck "Only for files with changed timestamp or size"
Advanced Duplicate Find & Fix Find More From Same - Custom Search. | Transfer PlayStat & Copy-Paste Tags/AlbumArt between any tracks.
Tagging Inconsistencies Do you think you have your tags in order? Think again...

Even safer, I tested from My Computer, to avoid any scan issues.

But trying now through library with rescan, and:

> uncheck "Only for files with changed timestamp or size"

I get the same failure.

What do you get, Bex?

I didn't try since I don't use that "syntax"

This persists here in 1256 for WMAs e.g.

Miz, when you got the expected result, was it with WMAs?

I have no clue... this topic is from over a year ago. My memory isn't that good. It's also why the image was deleted.

OK, thanks. Does anyone here get this to work on WMAs?
