Popup display can't be moved to the right border [4597]

Post by Big_Berny »

Hi guys,
I just noticed that I can't move the popup display (which shows up when a new song starts) to the right border of my display. Probably the bug only affects high resolution displays as my resolution is 1920x1200. The slider in the options is moved completely to the right by the way.

Thanks for fixing that!

Check this:

I think I found the problem: The space on the right is exactly the horizontal size of taskbar+sidebar. Probably (I didn' test it) it only happens when you use the taskbar vertically?
Another question is if it should be possible to move it over the sidebar or not...

1. I have just retested again and It work Flawlessly even in Vertical Mode. But I'm on XP SP2

2. Yes, If you set that Taskbar is Not Always on top. When MM popup need to show MM asks Windows to give Dimensions of Desktop where it can Show popup.

I can reproduce this with my taskbar in vertical mode on a 1280 x 800 screen, Vista home premium SP1.

EDIT: I don't have vista sidebar set to be always on top, if that matters.

EDIT2: Heres a screen capture:

A-Ha 8), I noticed one small similarity in bot of yours Screenshots :). Both Of you have TaskBar On left side of Desktop.

Here is example:
Desktop Size: 1280x1024
Taskbar: on left side (On Top set)
desktop actual size is 1200x1024 (80 left for taskbar)
MM Position PopUp in box 1200x1024 where horizontal is 0-1200 instead of 80-1280.

Ways to prove:
- Move horizontal to Far left and it will go over the TaskBar even it is set On Top, but will lack 80px on right.

- if you reverse TaskBar to Right all will work as it should.

I'll Add it to Bugs To-Do.

EDIT: If You dissable taskbar Always on Top Popup Will Go all the way to Sidebar.

Off-topic:
Regarding Look of Desktop, here is one custom made Windows XP Installation that was ordered from me half year ago where I have not got Limit in $ for licenses. A guy wanted to have one of the kind installation.
Here is how Windows looked after a week of my free time.

BTW It is Windows XP SP2 + few UI addons.
