MM3 and Logitech keyboard with display
Hello,
I already read the different topics regarding the Logitech keyboards and my multimedia keys are working fine. The only thing that do not work is the display. When I play a song in the Windows Media Player, the keyboard displays the song informations. When playing a song in MM3.0.2 it does not display any song information.
Is there a possibility to display these informations on the LCD? I use MM 3.0.2, Vista an SetPoint 4.6.0.
Regards,
KoMa666

Known Issue, wait for Logitech to Fix this issue or you can ask Okio to make support like he did great job for G15.

Or, in the meantime you could experiment with LCD Studio, as the included Winamp plugin would more than likely be MM compatible. At the very least, you'll find that LCD's have a greater flexibility than most 3rd-party apps give them credit for.
I'll Give LCD Studio another chance. Last time I tested it was 6 months ago when I bought G15 and didn't liked it much.

Curious... considering it's rather infinite flexibility, depending on what you care to use it for. The only drawback many people find is that it must be left constantly running in the background, which shouldn't be a problem given even halfway decent hardware these days.Peke wrote:I'll Give LCD Studio another chance. And it works in Vista x64 (on the G15) which makes life easier. To be fair, I use it for system monitoring (realtime network graphs, core-temps/usage, memory usage, etc), so I'm not sure how it fares for gaming/music practicality. I have seen people manage to run films through it, but that's just too weird to contemplate given the resolution.
And considering the state of affairs with "normal" G15 applications (lest you write your own), it's lightyears ahead.
Good thing it's free or that would sound like an advert.
LCD Studio is geared towards any and all small LCD displays which can be attached to your system. With more recent hardware nothing can be guaranteed. Basically, you just try it and see - if not, the program has it's own (decently supported) forum wherein they may be more specific in case of difficulty.
I mostly write My own apps where ever I have SDK to work with. (I know programmers are always special and worst users)

Re: MM3 and Logitech keyboard with display
I have a similar problem. I'm using the Logitech MX5500 Revolution Mouse + Keyboard. Media keys worked fine out of the box, but the media display feature doesn't work. After some Googlizing, I used the players.ini hacks that have been listed on this site a few times. This 50% fixed the issue. When I play a song, I now get the artist, progress bar, and track length, but no title. I played a song with a hypen in the title, and then I magically got both lines to display! They were backwards, but at least it's a step in the right direction. So my question is this:
Does anyone have a fix or a plugin that will modify the way that MM3 is sending out the track information to be compatible with the MX5500?

Re: MM3 and Logitech keyboard with display
I might have found a solution. There´s a winamp plug-in called "G15 LCD Display". This works with my z-10 speakers. It displays Artist and title now (playing time also). The bad thing is: the plug-in has space for the albums´s title too, but since mm3 doesn´t seem to transfer the album´s title, there are three ??? displayed instead...

Yeah, perhaps it will help me with my Logitech diNovo Media Laser (good, but overpriced)....RavX wrote:Hey DWSR, do you mind posting the players.ini file you got that got a partial fix? I tried but it didn't work.
