Help with iriver sync = Doesn't select by genre, artist, alb

Post by Nagog »

Hi,

I was using irivirum, and I also previously the iriver navigation db in my river H120 in addition to the irivium db. I have tried using one or both of these in different variations, but I get the sam e problem. I can's search on my H120 by song, album, artist, or genre. I can only go up and down the file directory. Any suggestions?

Thanks. Meanwhile, can I/should I use either the irivium or iriver database when using MM? Or do I have to choose between using MM and having the functions I want available by only using irivium or the iriver database?

MM will support directly the database format used in iRiver H series devices, so you can use it as is.

Switching from Irivium

Post by Nagog »

Hi,

I have installed the latest version, 2.3.1, and I'm ready to rock. I want to know whether I should delete any information on my Iriver H120 or my hard drive pertaining to Irivium?

I am concerned that MM won't work well and I would have to return to Irivium, but I'll make irreversible changes if I need to in order to see how well MM works.

In order to search by artist, genre, etc. you have to turn on the search mode for that under the general file on your iriver. i think it is called db scan.
