Album Node

Post by dps33 »

IN MM3, Album Node: Why it shows Album (Artist). If I have many artists on the same album. I get that same album listed so many (artist) time. How can I see Albums only?

What I did was to use a custom filter view and used Album Artist instead of Artist. I think that is a Gold feature, though. This way, I keep only the basic stuff I know I will be using.

Multiple Artist Albums will need to have the same Album Artist to be shown as the same album (this one entry in the Album node). Just set the Album Artist on all tracks of the Album to something like Various, Various Artists or VA and they will show as one album. You can leave the Artist field as is.

You can use the Files to Edit > Multiple Artist Albums node to identify albums that potentially need to have the Album Artist field set to the same value.

Thanks for the info and solution. I will try that later at home. Question though when I look at the propertites. My Album Artist is blank for the tracks. So why it still shows actual artist(s)? is it a default "if blank then use artist."

Yes, that is the case.
