Jazz Spezial|filter:genre='Jazz'\<artist>
both work fine... :-?

Another question: it seems to be impossible to combine Mood and Occasion, eg.
Thanks for the report. Filter: works quite unpredictable for now, but it'll be improved in future versions and hopefully that'll fix the first problem.

You're right about the second issue; currently it's not possible to combine any two classification fields. I'll see if there's anything that can be done, but I'm afraid solving this would involve a whole overhaul of the script.

Using BPM

Post by Jubba1 »

I'd like to be able to use BPM as a parameter when setting up a magic node.

Is this possible now or could it be done in a later release.

It's not currently possible but it's very easy to implement, so it'll be available in the next release :) .

What a great Feature :lol:

Is it possible to put every Caption, Hint, Messagebox-Text, ... into Constants at the Front of the Script, so that you can easily change the Output-Language of the Script without going through the File Step by Step?

Some Things I have changed additionally:

Code: Select all

Function SkinnedInputBox(text, caption, Input)
...
Form.BorderStyle  = 1
...
'Edt.Common.Anchors = 1+2+4
...
btnOk.Default = True
'btnOk.Common.Anchors = 4+8
...
end function
-> The Buttons in the Input-Box appear correctly, but now the Form isn't resizeable.
-> Pressing Enter = Clicking OK

Code: Select all

With FieldDict
 ...
 .Add "PLAY RATE", "Int(IIf(Songs.PlayCounter=0,0,DateDiff('d',Songs.DateAdded,Now)/Songs.PlayCounter))"
 ...
 .Add "DATEADDED", "DateValue(CDate(Songs.DateAdded))"
End With
- PLAY RATE to prevent Division of 0 - "Rating Titles\<play rate>\<artist>" wouldn't work instead
- DateAdded as extra Field

Code: Select all

GlobalQualifierMasks = Array("\|shortcut:.*", _
				"\|child of:(magic|artist|album|library|playlists|location|year|genre|classification|rating)", _
				"\|icon:(standard|top level|bottom level)", _
				"\|SQL filter:.*", _
				"\|filter:.*", _
				"\|show tracks:(yes|no)")
-"child of: album" is available then

Good work, keep on ...

"Great Job!" to all of you! I read about the script cababilities of MM just today and then - of course - came to the MN. It took me a while to read nearly all the postings :o but then I found exactly what I was looking for (combining Genre and Rating criteria).

Pablo - maybe I didn't read really everything - but where can I find the updates and fixes you are publishing?

Thanks, Ingo

There hasn't really been an update in a while :oops: . I'm currently away so there won't be an update for maybe another couple of weeks. You can always find the latest version at
Whenever I upload a new build I modify the first post of the thread, so most of the posts actually refer to outdated versions.

Hey Pablo, for one of your next updates how easy would it be to implement an Album Art node in Magic Nodes?

I'd like to be able to determine from a node which tracks have album art linked and which have the art tagged to the track.

Ultimately I'd like to go through my collection and tag the art in the tracks.

It'd be cool to see which tracks have multiple covers linked or tagged too. :D

It's not a Magic Node, but it's a Cover-Node :roll:

Cool, works too I think, but I can't read the titles of the sub nodes.

Keine Cover generated code errors.

OK, I can actually read the titles. The descriptions are in the script.

This is going to be real handy, cheers. 8)

No problem 8)
I have one for the Cover-Type (Inlay, ...) and One for the number of Album Arts too. If there is any interest, let me know.

Happy easter :)

Hi,

I just discover this script! That great job. Thanks
I just wanna if it's possible to seperate informations contained in a field to create distinct node.
For example, the field composer contains 'Dr. Dre, Scott Storch'.
When I create a Magic Node for composer, I have the node 'Dr. Dre, Scott Storch' and I would like to have two seperate node 'Dr.Dre' 'Scott Storch'.
