removing all album art

I don't know how I did it, but I was sorting out a lot of my files recently and somehow ended up with most of my 000's of files with multiple album art which is not for those tracks.

I want to start again and sort them all out, is there a way I can quickly remove all album art from every track without clearing the rest of the tag?

Select all the tracks you want to remove the album art from, then go to Properties (by right clicking). Then, under the art tab, which should be empty, click ok.

tried that but I have literally thousands of tracks with the wrong art. Just wanted a quicker way than that.
