can't see music files on mp3 player

Post by pcpaulius »

when i put music folders (about 15) on minisd card it always doesn't show music files in mp3player in folders since ninth (10,11,12...)but then i do rename it and it becomes for example sixth i would see files in it. Player allocates only alphabetically.but there is no such problem when i put all those folders on players own memory. Both mini sd and players  memory capacity is 2gb apiece. So its probably something wrong with mini sd ?

i've figured out that player only recognise 1.30 gb of music files or something of 2 gb on mini sd. i havn't tried yet but could it be just because of to much files in 320 kbps quality ?

oh on the smaller hand helds the sound is not going to be that good anyway, you could get by with making them all 250 kbps or 196 kbps if you make them mp3's. if you make them wma's you can go smaller to like 96 kbps

but then with wma's they are power hungry and eat batteries up, so its a trade off more songs or longer playing time? :-?

i did find out what's the problem and it's the number of files it allows me to put in to be precise 380 files of any type and it doesn't matter if i still have about 600 mb of space.though i can put as much as memory may allow but i won't see them all on player if overall files number excedes 380. nice feaTURE :D

go to the devices manufacture's web site and look for any firmware update for your device to make it see all the files. :)
