1212 Thumbnail images not updated BUG#5242

I've seen unwanted behavior for awhile...time to report it.

I typically view in Album Art with details view. Many times in this view I either don't get the art thumbnails to show up without hitting refresh. Or if I change an album art, the old thumbnail image remains in the view, even if I start playing the song and the correct image is displayed in the player.

Other behavior that I'm not sure is working as designed:
- I notice now that when I change an album title, instead of staying alphabetized in the Album node, it will go the last entry, until I somehow go out and come back in. 3.0 never did that for me.

I am also seeing a similar problem, but I thought it was only related to the Ipod Node. I did confirm that the same problem occurs with my main library as well.

I can reproduce the problem by doing the following:

Select a genre with several albums in it from the Genre node. Switch to Album Art with details view. Place your cursor anywhere over the track listings (NOT on the scroll bars). Now scroll the albums with your mouse wheel down, then up, then down again. At some point in the this scrolling process, the art thumbnails stop appearing on random albums. NOW, as soon as you take your cursor off the track listing and outside the center pane, the missing album art is displayed again. Hitting F5 to refresh the pane also corrects the problem.

I have experienced this issue many times. Basically it happens, not always but often, when I am scrolling fast with my middle mouse wheel in Album Art view or Album Art With Details view (and my cursor is in that pane). If the album art gets "hung up" (i.e. - some album art shows the generic 'no album art' image), I can move the cursor outside the pane and the correct album art will load for those that are missing. I see this almost every day at work via my iPod Classic, MM 3.1.0.1212, and Win XP Pro SP2 when I am quickly looking for an album to play. Any comment on the fact that changing an album title puts it at the bottom of the node list of albums, instead of alphabetized in the node list? I don't think this is a desired feature.

I found a possible related problem with the album art disappearing. To reproduce this issue - switch to Album Art with Details view, then adjust the column width of the album art column header to make it smaller. When you do this, the album art disappears (expected). Now resize the album art column width to make it wider again and the album art does not come back.
