Aiden, Rhett,
You can wait until an 'offical' update is posted or you can make this change directly. First, have a browser window open to this thread, to the post with the code to find and replace. The edit the script as follows:
1) The file 'DiscogsAutoTagWb.vbs' is sitting in the MediaMonkey/Scripts directory.
2) Find this file on your hard drive
3) Make a safety copy in case you need to start over (you can always re-install from the download on this forum)
4) Open the .vbs file to edit: Select the file name and right-click to select 'Edit' or 'Open with' (select Notepad).
5) You can then use the Replace function to find and replace the code to be updated as suggested a few posts back.
* From the Format menu - set Word Wrap to OFF
* Copy/Cut the code to be replaced from the post - and paste it into the Find Box
* Copy/Cut the revised code from the post - and past it into the Replace Box
* Press Find Next, then Replace
* All 170 chars of the 'replaced' code should all be on one line of the .vbs file - no line break - despite how it appears in the post - that is just forum formatting
6) Press [CTRL] [s] to save the modified .vbs file.
The change should be immediately available within Media Monkey.
That should do it.

Re: Discogs Auto-tag Web Search
Thanks for the explanations, Obelisk.
Folks, don't forget to delete the copy afterwards, to not have two running versions of the .vbs script.Obelisk wrote:3) Make a safety copy in case you need to start over (you can always re-install from the download on this forum)
Re: Discogs Auto-tag Web Search
Why does this script modify the file timestamps although it doesn't rewrite the tags? I'm also unable to save the tags without downloading the cover.

Re: Discogs Auto-tag Web Search
Installed OK, but when I search, I get a MediaMonkey error stating that "Variant or Safe Array is locked"
Then once I clear it (if I can) it then says "Access violation at address 0072B0D1 in module 'MediaMonkey.exe'. Write of address 000000D0"
Then I clear this screen and get another error "Error #2147418113 - File: "C:\Program Files\MediaMonkey\Scripts\DiscogsAutoTagWeb.vbs", Line: 465, Column: 2"
HELP! Newbie here...looks like a very promising scripy here, but I'm lost...
Thanks in advance...

The version available from filehippo, com is 3.1.0.1222 Beta
Should I trust filehippo's version or is there a MM approved download site?
BTW...Great software, I have 12821 titles that I'm trying to tag consistantly and manage. Great so far, just trying to add some scripts etc.

Did that...no errors...thanks for all your help, but search window still empty?!?!?!Just download straight from the beta forum, the most recent version is always posted there:

I even tried changing the script as it said to earlier in this thread due to the xml code change but that threw more errors (so I changed it back).
