Just an FYI:
If you're looking for an Audio Enhancer I got this one to work.
http://www.winamp.com/plugins/details/81361
Install it into the Mediamonkey program directory.
Turn off the MM equalizer and move the Enhancer to the top of the DSP plug-ins list.

Re: AUDIO ENHANCER: winamp enhancer 0.17
I'm also using Enhancer 017, even long before I discovered MediaMonkey.
How glad was I when I discovered it's working with MM
Enhancer has a small memory requirement, does not require fast processor, is very responsive and produces incredible high quality sound for this kind of plugins and is, in my opinion, better and more sophisticated than DFX.
I made an Enhancer skin to match my latest Zekton skin for MM. See this post.

Re: AUDIO ENHANCER: winamp enhancer 0.17
I used to use Enhancer when Winamp was my main player. After reading your post that it will also work with MM, I installed it to the MM directory, went into the Plugins pane, and checked its checkbox to turn it on. I could immediately see the familiar Enhancer GUI. However, I find myself unable to configure Enhancer. None of the buttons respond to my clicking. And as soon as I close the Plugins pane, the Enhancer GUI disappears. I can tell the Enhancer is running, because the sound quality is enhanced, and my CPU usage jumps up. But I can't bring the Enhancer GUI into view and/or adjust the settings.
Did you experience this? Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?
Thanks.

Re: AUDIO ENHANCER: winamp enhancer 0.17
Well, I noticed that I did not completely follow your instructions. I did not move Enhancer to the top of the stack in the Plugins pane. Once I did that, I was able to operate its controls. The GUI still disappears after I exit the Plugins pane, but that's no big deal to me. If I want to make adjustments, I can simply open the Plugins pane again.
I find that running Enhancer roughly doubles the amount of CPU usage by MediaMonkey.

Hi Iggy64,Iggy64 wrote:However, I find myself unable to configure Enhancer. None of the buttons respond to my clicking.
Depending on your MM version it may not possible to press any of its buttons (nor any other plugin) as long MM's configuration window is open. You need to close it first (with OK button).
But Enhancer's interface should remain visible. It will remain active even if you close or minimize it.
Check first that's it's not minimized, should be a small minimized title on the Desktop (not on the taskbar).
Otherwise, to activate it, do: Tools|Options|Player|DSP Pug-Ins->Enhancer 0.17->Configure.
This dialog box will show:

You need to press OK or CANCEL before you can use it.

Woops to late...
I think Ambience is the most hungry for CPU power.
Well, seems your computer is not so fast. On mine my CPU usage moves from 0% to 7% no matter if I'm using the plugin or not.Iggy64 wrote:I find that running Enhancer roughly doubles the amount of CPU usage by MediaMonkey.

Re: AUDIO ENHANCER: winamp enhancer 0.17
I can't get the Enhancer to show up in the DSP Plugins pane. I installed to a separate folder in the MM directory. No results. I then copied the dll into the MM directory with the other dlls. No results.
Could the problem be related to my never having downloaded or used Winamp? There is a file named winamp.exe in the MM directory, that must have come with the MM installation.

Re: AUDIO ENHANCER: winamp enhancer 0.17
Just specify C:\Program Files\Mediamonkey as the directory to install to.GeraldB wrote:I can't get the Enhancer to show up in the DSP Plugins pane. I installed to a separate folder in the MM directory. No results. I then copied the dll into the MM directory with the other dlls. No results.
If not working, copy file dsp_enh.dll and directory Enhancer to C:\Program Files\MediaMonkey\Plugins.
C:\Program Files\MediaMonkey\Plugins\Enhancer\017 is a directory containing its skins.
One more thing: You need to restart MM when adding/removing plugins.
Now it should work !
Re: AUDIO ENHANCER: winamp enhancer 0.17
And, indeed, it does work now that I've moved things to the MM Plugins folder. Thank you for the prompt and effective help, Eyal.

Re: AUDIO ENHANCER: winamp enhancer 0.17
For those interested, I found a fix to Enhancer to make it Always Visible.
